The Staff at The Ann Coleman Centre
All staff at the Ann Coleman Centre are professionally trained.
Each has attended courses in manual handling and there is a mandatory internal course in three stages. This provides the members of staff with training in
relation to the potential needs of each of our residents. Each member of staff has also attended Deaf Awareness, BSL, Makaton and First Aid courses.
The Ann Coleman Centre is registered as required by the National
care Standards Commission and is managed by Avon Autistic Foundation Limited, which is a Company Limited by guarantee. It has been caring for individuals with
Autism or Asperger Syndrome since 1986. A copy of the inspection report is enclosed within our brochure. |

Are visitors invited to The Ann Coleman Centre?
Relatives and guests are welcomed at the centre, and residents
are free to see them in complete privacy in our visitors room, or alternatively can use the communal facilities and grounds. We recognise that maintaining
family links and friendships outside of the home are important for the residents.
As well as encourage visitors, residents are free to have a
holiday with their family and friends throughout the year. Traditionally, we have breaks at Easter, mid-year and at Christmas. |
