Woodwell House Residential Home

What is the accommodation like?

Woodwell House is situated near the friendly village of Shirehampton, midway between the historic city of Bristol and the bustling ports of Avonmouth and Portbury. Nearby, the MS motorway links up with all parts of the country, making long distance visits both fast and convenient.

Woodwell House is a newly built and purpose designed residence where modern amenities are combined with a warm and caring environment to convey a feeling of security and relaxation. The grounds are set in a tranquil yet spectacular location overlooking open fields, with the River Avon nearby.

At Woodwell, we are registered with the National Care Standards Commission to accommodate 12 residents. Woodwell House comprises two houses, each with six self contained lockable bedrooms. Each resident will have their own bedroom, many rooms have en suite facilities and all have washing facilities. All rooms are furnished with comfortable beds and relaxing colour schemes complete an ambience of warmth and security.

Bedroom

All residents have their own bedroom key, which also can be accessed by the manager.

Individuality is actively encouraged and residents may keep and care for their own personal possessions and small items of furniture if they wish.

Lounges are equipped with a TV, whilst dining areas have access to large patio areas for al fresco meals in the summer. Residents can have their own TV in their bedroom if this is required.

We have large spacious kitchens, which are generously equipped with the latest facilities. This ensures the preparation and cooking of food is at the highest standard and in the most hygienic surroundings. We cater to individual choices, and food is provided to meet any belief or custom. Three meals are provided each day, with drinks and light refreshments available at all times.

Everything at Woodwell House is geared towards creating a caring environment where residents can feel secure and independent, and we hope to create an environment where the residents feel that they are in the comfort of their own home.
